Farming Insurance, Farmers Protection Alternative

Rice farming insurance program can be interesting, not only includes protection against price fluctuations, but also includes the sharing of risks due to drought, flooding, and pest / disease and other factors such as landslides, earthquakes, political issues, etc. Indonesian Agency for Agriculture Research and Development (IAARD) through its working unit the Indonesian Center for Agriculture Socio Economic and Policy Studies (ICASEP) in collaboration with FAO since 2008 has conducted research on the applicability of insurance to protect farmers to support farming.
