Minister of Research and Technology at IAARD Working Unit: Joint collaboration of two research institutions

Min.R&T and DG.IAARD visied IAARD research centersFrom 29 – 31 January 2009, Minister of Research and Technology Prof. Dr Kusmayanto Kadiman accompanied by the Director General of Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development (IAARD) Dr. Sumarjo Gatot Irianto, and a number of IAARD officials from Echelon II visited some Technical Implementing Units (UPT) under IAARD in East Java. Bali, High Level Regional Policy Dialogue on “The food-fuel crisis and climate change"

United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pasific (ESCAP) and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia jointly organized the High level Regional Policy Dialogue on “The food-fuel crisis and climate change: Reshaping the Development Agenda” in Bali from 9 to 10 December 2008. The high level policy dialogue was held to address the food-fuel-financial crisis and climate change issues in a comprehensive and integrated manner which threatens to inflict untold human costs. NAD AIAT Ready to Deliver 400,000 Arabica Coffee Seedlings for the Victims of Aceh Conflict

In Aceh, coffee is an inseparable part of the community’s daily life. Unfortunately, the conflicts in Aceh have made coffee plantations to be abandoned. Currently, the development of the Arabica coffee seedlings is conducted in Aceh Tengah and Bener Meriah Districts under the cooperation between the different parties and NAD AIAT (Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology) through the Gayo Research Station.
