News » Puspita Kencana Chrysanthemum Variety

(adm/Jan 29, 2012)

This variety resulted from the hybridization at the Indonesian Ornamental Crops Research Institute since 2009. After passing the adaptability and productivity tests in 2001 and consumer preferential test in 2001 this cultivar was released as a new cultivar in 2003. Compared to its restorer, Town Talk, this variety has intensified yellow flower petals with a larger size.

Moreover, Puspita Kencana also has a character to bloom quickly (short time response) and immune to rust disease (Puccinia hiroana Henn.) which is commonly found at chrysanthemum planting areas in Indonesia.
