Kikondo potato is well adapted in the latitude of 1000 – 2000 m above sea level. Its height is 40 – 96 cm, light yellow colored tuber skin, slightly shallow tuber eye, pink colored eye surrounding, soft skin, purple colored tuber bud, and aged 90 – 100 days.

This potato has yielding potential of 18 – 24 t/ha with shelf life in room temperature between 2.5 – 3 months. Sugar reduction amount of 0.019%, specific gravity 1.07, weighing 20.15% (dry); therefore it is suitable to be used as processed potato.

Kikondo is potential to be developed to support the processed potato industry such as French fries, potato chips, etc.
