Turina-3 (Curcuma domestica Val) has the selection number Cudo 38. Its flowering period is 4 – 5 months, with white-yellow brownish colored flowers, 180 ± 2.2 cm plant height, 7 ± 0.61 tillers, oval shaped leaf, 2.0 ± 0.62 rhizome parent, 8.68 ± 2.98 primary rhizome, brown colored rhizome skin, orange colored rhizome flesh, 500 – 2500 g of rhizome/clump.

This variety contains 8.55 ± 0.83% curcumin, 5.2% volatile oil, 21.92% water soluble essence, 14.89% alcohol soluble essence, and 0.29% ash.
Turina-3 is suitable for sandy clay soil, at 0 – 2000 m above sea level heights with rainfall level of 2000 – 4000 mm/year. It is also suitable to be developed for traditional herbal and pharmaceutical industries.
