Since the early 2014, through Abdul Haris Nasrullah– Extension from Ministry of Agriculture, Women Farmer Group, and Sustainable Food Reserved Garden (SFRG), Merah Delima is developed in the yard of every household.

Around 2 – 15 trees per house were planted and the development were quite well. Trees that were planted in April 2014 has started to grow. A farmer has even harvested the trees and sold the papaya for Rp 6000 per kilo.

With the market demands that increases and the high selling price, people of Kotaanyar altogether plant Merah Delima papaya.

Dissemination of horticultural R & D results that can be accepted by the public as the above example, may be a trigger for researchers to consistently produce new varieties and technologies that can advance the Indonesian agriculture.
