News » Indonesia Supports Application on Robotic and Drone at The 6th AIWGAF

Thailand – On the occasion of the 6th ASEAN India Working Group on Agriculture and Forestry, Monday (1/07/2019) in Bangkok, Indonesia proposed two event titles. The events, according to Indonesia Head of Delegation Idha Widi Arsanti from the Ministry of Agriculture, are in accordance to India’s approved proposal on Application on Robotic and Drone as well as Functional Food.

First is Workshop on the Role of Agricultural Workers in Dissemination on Agricultural Innovation, second is Improving role of Youth in Agriculture Development in the Era Industry 4.0 and Strengthening ASEAN India Cooperation through Research and Training. Both events will each be held on September 2019 and in year 2020.

Ade Candradijaya also from Ministry of Agriculture said that India’s excellence in technology should be properly utilized. Therefore, on this occasion Indonesia is hoping for more actual results. In addition, Executive Secretary of Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development (IAARD) M Prama Yufdy explained that the cooperation in the technical field with India in the past two months has continued to be driven mainly for areca nut and also related to Zero Natural Budget Farming integration farming. The two activities raised are in synergy with the Ministry of Agriculture's strategic objectives to encourage Agriculture 4.0 in Indonesia.

On the occasion, Erlita Adriani from IAARD also invited delegations from Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar to be observers on the 9th Global Research Alliance Council Meeting that will be held on 6 – 7 October 2019 in Bali.
