Halina – 1 Small White Ginger Variety

The superior variety of Halina – 1 ginger originated from Wado, Sumedang Regency, West Java.

This ginger is a raw material for traditional herbal medicine, health drinks, and food which contains high starch of 43.30%. Besides that, Halina – 1 also contains 2.92% volatile oil, 7.88% fiber, 9.06% alcohol, and 2.65% phenol.
Halina – 1 is most suitable to be developed in high areas of 300 – 800 m above sea level. This variety can also be commercialized by third party. The needs for the seeds can be found at the Stock Seed Production Unit of the Aromatic and Herbal Medicine Research Institute.
